Student organizations at Emerson are a great way to build community, find others who share your interests, join affinity groups, and explore new ideas.
With more than 150 registered student organizations and activities, including 19 co-curricular activities that allow you to earn credits outside the classroom, there are no limits to how you can expand your horizons when you join the Emerson community.
And if the group you’re looking for doesn’t exist yet, we encourage you to create an organization for your unique interests!
WERS
A student-run and professionally managed radio station ensures that students learn firsthand from experienced professionals in the media field. Reaching over 150,000 listeners every week, WERS is consistently named one of the best college radio stations in the nation. There are roles for journalists, on-air talent, photographers, and sound engineers. The only requirement is that you love music!

Communication, Politics, and Law Association (CPLA)

CPLA is an organization founded to foster interest and involvement in policy, law, civic engagement, social advocacy, and global diplomacy. The organization provides a space for independent thinkers to engage in civic action, political discourse, and professional development.
The Berkeley Beacon
The Berkeley Beacon is an independent, student-run newspaper where students can gain professional experience as journalists. Founded in 1947, the paper was named after the college’s former location in Back Bay, at the confluence of Berkeley Street and Beacon Street.



Emerson Esports
The group fosters a healthy and inclusive gaming and esports environment—for all who love video games, no matter your demographic or lifestyle. If you are interested in working in the esports and gaming industries, Emerson Esports provides not only opportunities to work firsthand in a collegiate esports organization, but also to build a network of professionals in those industries.
Delta Kappa Alpha
Delta Kappa Alpha (DKA/ΔΚΑ) is a national coed fraternity passionate about fostering lifelong character, collaborative and creative storytelling, ethical and productive business practices, philanthropic action, and fraternal bonds between students of the cinematic arts.
Concrete Literary Magazine
Concrete is an annual student publication that encourages experimentation, exploration, and enthusiasm in the writing and reading of poetry and prose. It also sponsors workshops, seminars, and readings.
