The Road to Emerson
YOU’RE READY!
Welcome to Emerson!

Road to Emerson Webinars

Pre-Orientation Programs
Emerson offers two pre-orientation programs that begin before the main Orientation week. If you’re participating, you’ll arrive on Monday, August 24, and the program runs through August 26.
International Pre-Orientation is required for all international students and provides an early introduction to life on campus and the community.
First-Generation Pre-Orientation is designed for students who are the first in their families to attend college. It’s an early opportunity to build community and find support before the rest of your class arrives. Space is limited, and accepted students will receive a confirmation by email.
Registration for Pre-Orientation programs will be live in early June through your Admission Portal via the Orientation Confirmation of Attendance.

Move-In & Orientation Week
Orientation runs from Wednesday, August 26, through Monday, August 31, and is mandatory for all incoming new and transfer students. The complete schedule will be sent to your Emerson email at least one week before you arrive.
On the morning of Thursday, August 27, your family is invited to attend Family Orientation at the Cutler Majestic Theatre. This program is designed for the people who know and love you best—a chance for them to hear from campus leaders, learn about available resources, and feel connected to the Emerson community. Registration will be live in early June via the Family Portal.
Questions? We would love to hear from you. Please reach out anytime to orientation@emerson.edu.
Move-In

Move-in on campus is an exciting, vibrant, and well-orchestrated event for the Emerson community! We do everything we can to make it an easy and smooth transition to campus. For fall move-in, first-year students all move in during one day. For general move-in dates, it is best to refer to our academic calendar. Students are also able to find a detailed move-in schedule in their housing portal.
Be sure to check out the list of what to bring with you (and what not to take along).
